Is Orange email down??

My email has stopped working. I'm on Orange broadband.

Tried some things but got nowhere so tried to call them. What a jike their service is as usual. Listened to 3 tunes while on hold and expecting "extremely long delays". Then got cut off. Bastids.

So, what next?

There's usually a 'service announcement' page for each ISP, but the one for Orange isn't popping up in Google too quickly- I'm sure they'll have one though, and it'll tell you if there are any current problems and details about their resolution times etc.....IIWY I'd spend a dew minutes poking around to find that.

In the mean time, you can use something like THIS to deal with your emails...and also think about getting a GMail account.......(Googlemail as it now called) You can still use your Orange email address through Gmail, but it's a lot more reliable and rather a lot better too.

You can still answer as '[email protected]' or whatever your orange address is, or you can answer using the Googlemail account address but have everything that's sent to the orange account forwarded to the Gmail account

There are lots of other advantages to using GMail (online storage, use anywhere etc etc) and I'd thoroughly recommend doing it even if your Orange does come back up.

There was an article on the Beeb news website about Orange having "fixed" some major broadband problem, yesterday I think it was.

It ceratinly seems that the 'home' service is shyte

As I've posted before though, I can't fault their business service in any way

Homepage has been down for over a day now.
Access e-mail here.
Their service is getting worse and the price has gone up, again.
I really must get my finger out and sign up to a new ISP.

I could access me email online but not download to my PC. I had to change the pop settings to get it to work.
