Is replacement possible for a knackered clear map pocket on top of the GS12 tankbag

As per title, 2004 BMW GS tank bag, still perfect except for a yellow and now split map pocket on the top. Must it be a new bag ?
 
Possible yes worth it maybe not. Any upholsterer will be able to do it. If you have someone in your area that does soft tops for cars they will be able to do it as well. The plastic can be bought on eBay easily if you want to sew it yourself which will be hard work but free.
 
Sorry Joe, only bags made for 04 - 07 models will fit. They changed the tank shape from 08.

I've got an un used one still with the label on plus the bum bag straps and sticky zip for the tank attachment
part number is 71 60 7713014

I use a walking map holder velcro'd to the top of the existing map pocket. Waterproof, velcro closure and proper A4 size and only a couple of quids.
 
I would break out the curved needles and sew in a new plastic while watch some crap on TV.

Above mentioned was for my 2006 GS but I never got around to fitting it

Thanks for all responses. I like the map holder idea, but will also check the part number in my bag when back home from a work trip on Friday.
