Couple of tidy examples here, only fetching in the £2k-£3k bracket?

Didn't fetch much in a free auction, did they?

Plenty of classifieds seem to be continually relisted, because people aren't buying them at the inflated price being asked

Is the price crash coming.........:nenau

1100GS and 1150 GS and GSA's seem to be at an all time low too

Plenty of bike for the money, to be had

Yep, signalling the rise of the K75 :D

Wash your mouth out Mister !! :D

I think Johnny may have a point re airhead prices starting to to down.....then again try to sell any bike at this time of the year; even hard to push a R1100/R1150 these days when they would have been snapped up a year ago ! I don't think they will fall much though, they will always be sought after. You get what you pay for ! A non runner will easily eat away the money compared to a current M.O.T'd example. ( besides no one buys the purple version :D as above )

I also think another crash is on the way...to many people buying on credit/PCP again for items they really cannot/should not afford. Anyway I'm off to see a Willys jeep later today....maybe a deal can be done !!!!

looks more like the right kind of price to me. a couple of years ago they were way overpriced.

Airheads have only been sought after in recent times by hipsters. Even they have, at last, realised that any WBM (even an airhead turned into a cafe racer or bobber) is not cool and they are no longer buying them up.

It's just taken them a while to realise what everybody else already knew.

There's nobody left out there that wants to buy one :D

It follows that what was once hipster/cool will soon be seriously uncool - thats fashion.

I have seen some truly appalling conversions of airheads*, irrecoverably wrecking them, often done by professionals who should seriously know better, purely a cynical ploy to extract money from the gullible/stupid/image conscious. Probably this sort of thing has now actually devalued them. I do seriously hope the Airhead hipster bubble has burst and they get left alone. Shame about all the fu**ed up airheads left out there that no one will want because they dont match their twat "lifestyle" anymore.........

A good well looked after Airhead without all the fashionable twatery will alway be sought after.

*(to be fair I have also seen a very few dam good ones as well, especially here in this parish....)

IMHO of course.

Indeed it might be ...

... as this example only made £125,000

Yes it appears so and hope it continues. All GSs are generally a lot harder to sell than they were 12 months ago. Airheads shouldn't be £4/5000, that a lot of money for a bike that is 25 years old and needs regular money spending on it. Not when you can buy a new "maintenance free" 650 vstrom for £5300.
I like it when you can buy a good RT for 1500 and paralever gs for £2000 ish .

Unless I wanted a really special one that's had a full rebuild then I'd pay more but I refuse to pay big bucks for an old bike. I know they're great bikes but they're not without fault and modern bikes have are very good value ,do great mpg and need very very little maintenance.

Following this thread with interest as I'm looking for an R80GS for a reasonable (not stupid) price

I sold a 1988 Bumblebee to motorworks a couple of weeks ago .Its now on there site with not a huge margin considering transporting it from Glasgow, and resolving a few issues I had with the bike.Voyager put it on here for me for £2750 . Not a peep .

That's because we all know what you are like ! :D

Im still seeing the G/S (note the slash!) going for silly money tho - I saw one go at 7.5k on ebay a couple of days ago (A BaMW sale I think)

That was an immaculate very low mileage bike so no surprises there.

I've been trying to sell a very clean example for 2800 gbp.. Not a sniff... Bad time of year, I hope!!

Hipsters should be shot on sight. How many airheads have been murdered in the name of fashion. Even Wunderlich have a hipster range for chopping the rear end off an airhead. Airhead prices don't seem to be coming down much in my Parish. I'm really surprised how much the early K series bikes go for here. There's two main sites www.autoscout.de and www.mobile.de if you want to check out what's around.

Well I bought mine 2 years ago so it was for sure they would depreciate

I am not bothered, did not pay silly money for mine and was renovated, new suspension and full replacement exhaust. Just love riding mine. It will never loose as much as buying a new 12 or any other new bike for that matter.
