When I test rode one I thought it rather good, I preferred my TC GSA but that was for character reasons - The Honda seems very good and as I said at the time if I did not have my GSA and was looking to buy a bike it's very likely that I'd have an AT, at the time I said it would be DCT now I think it would have to be a manual one.
However I don't own the Honda so I cannot answer the question is it Sh1te. I ask because I have observed that a few AT owners are very defensive of their bikes.
Overly defensive in fact with quite hostile replies to any criticism even when that criticism is clearly a wind up.
There seems to be a constant need to try and rubbish the alternatives, the GS in particular when no one is saying prove your bike is better than mine - accept in the odd wind up post.
We are bombarded with unasked for scrapings of evidenive to support the opinion of the AT owner, multiple bikes owned is often presented as a right to my opinion is worth more than yours but convienently ignoring ownership was spent adding bits, doing a few miles, taking bits off and selling the bike - My view on this point would be diffrent if a usefull comparison with past bikes owned was given ' how did that 690 or 1190 perform on the trails compared to the AT etc...'
All of this makes me think that these AT owners know something we don't - somethings don't need defending, those that do are normally defended for a reason such as it's sh1te
