Is there a knack to getting a Laser C/F exhaust apart?

Hi All,

Is there a knack to getting a Laser C/F exhaust apart? I've drilled out the pop rivets at each end and knocked them right through. But the end cap wont come off. I cant get any of it apart?

I'm trying to "persuade" it by bashing the end cap in the right direction with my rubber mallet. but no matter how hard I hit it, it wont move?

Is there some trick to doing this? I've takne a few cans apart for repacking before but never come across this?

Any one taken a Laser Carbon Fibre exhaust can part before?

Ok, a chemaide/wd40 cocktail and some harder whacking got it apart, but I'm none the wiser for it.
Whats happening is, it's rattling in the wider section of link pipe before it joins to the can. There must be something inside this wider part?
Anyone ever had a Laser apart? What is in that wider part as indicated by the screwdriver hanging out of it?
