Hi!
Does anyone know of a way to be able to make a call on your cell phone while riding yor bike?
I´m thinking there must be a way to solve this, maybe with a dialling pad with large numbers which you can press with your gloves on and that is connected to my cell phone via cable or bluetooth. I´ve seen a laser displaying a keyboard that might work but it needs a flat surface an does it work in daylight? The bike is a BMW R100GS -98 and the phone is a Nokia 6600 or maybe the coming Nokia N90. I know that I can use voice dialling but then I must be able to reach th headset button and it´s often inside the helmet. Besides I can only call people stored with voice dialling commands in the phone book. Anyone´s got a solution to this problem?

Beat me to it, although I tend to agree with Steve.

Not all Sony Ericsson phones have this feature so check before you buy.

I've never used it on the bike so I don't know how well it copes with wind noise etc.

Ive got the solution.
Take your gloves off with yer teeth. pull yer phone out yer pocket, dial - crash- die.
And there will be one less phone obsessed :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: in this world.

The p900 can do this via the autocom, bit hit and miss at > town speeds. It helps if the mgic word is preceeded by something else to open the gate on the autocom. Also I've had occasions where ive cursed some idiot, and it's triggered a phonecall. You need the other party to hangup to end the call as well so if you get voicemail you're a bit stuffed.

Mount the phone in a waterproof Boxit case (google it to find pics) and set up speed dial so your most used numbers are accessed by pressing & holding a key on the phone e.g. "1" for mistress, "2" for wife etc.

I fitted my Boxit case to a RAM mount.

The flexible front of the case also allows you to end calls. Cant adjust the volume easily or do much other than press buttons (no joystick use for example).
