No it's not - it's the ultimate downgrade.

They must be laughing their heads off at anyone mad enough to actually buy that kit.

Why spend 4k on a load of plastic to make your 1200 worse when you could spend the same and get a proper airhead

I haven't ridden an airhead yet... but it's got to be a very different feel, not least due to different power, power to weight, and suspension/chassis set up. No?

I confess that I like it, but do wonder if doing that to my GSA would hamper one of it's greatest skills- that being a long distance tourer.

It makes it look like a proper bike instead of a mismatched collection of plastic and spare parts which is how all 1200GS' appear to me.

You get classic good looks with the performance of a 1200GS. Win win

Mind you the oil cooler above the exhaust header looks like recipe for failure in hot weather and slow tracks.
