Hi Folks I'm hav'n problems booking a ferry online from Lochranza - Claonaig,CalMac show sailings daily but when I try to book a sailing the site only offers me Ardrossan - Brodick.
Is the Lochranza sailing something like Hunters Quay where you turn up and pay yer money once on board ?

TIA

Turn up and go. Done it a couple of times on the GS and a push bike last year. No need to book

30th April, is the day I want off the Island the 11 am sailing from Brodick that day is either full or been pulled and the next sailing from there is to late in the day.

From what I remember just turned up and got on ferry. It's not the sort of trip you have to book - especially in April.
As DaveyB says turn up an go
If you look on Google maps it doesn't exactly have a major port.

Found 2013 Clamac timetable and it's every 1hr15mins
I'd be suprised if booking is an option to be honest
Most people will be trying to get to Ardrossan
Just enjoy yourself
Oh and assuming you're on a bike they do tend to find room for you

When looking at their timetable pages, in the top right hand corner you'll see the letter 'R' in a box. If it has a diagonal line through it (as in the Lochranza crossing), it means no Reservations on that route... HTHs... ;)

Last September we pitched up nice coffee shop with various rolls beside the ferry parking.

When all else fails......read the instructions......:blast

Just back from a weekend around Arran and South Kintyre with the auld man. Been going to Arran since I was a child, but the first time on the bikes. Bought ordinance survey maps and had slow we trundle through some parts I didn't even know existed. Great weekend, wish we'd had a bit more time.
