Nice pics Ian, anybody guess at the make of car? I reckon it could be an old Rover 2000TC or 3500V8

Thanks, and it was the single carb 2000. Saw a good specimen recently at a show and it still looked the dogs bits

Unfortunately, the last one I had was automatic and would only manage about 15mpg

My old man had a 1970 3500V8 I can even remember the number KTS 800H, sad I know, best car he ever had, shudder to think what mileage he got

Is that your actual car in the pic Ian?

The Rover is a give-away, probably mid 60's, not much has changed though

(The photos are scanned from my dad's 35mm slides - I'm not quite that old!)

Hi Iain

Nice Photos must get back there soon SWMBO would like to return to the Island and tour about for a day or two so will probably have to take the box as she couldn't fit the Sink and the Bath, etc on the bike

Nice one

Great shot Tartan, not sure about the midges, but I'd be happy to camp with just about everything else in your picture pal :thumb :D

Here's my effort on top of the ridge beside the 'In Pin' some time ago with some great Kameraden
