Isotta seat for 1300gs

I ordered from motostorm.it on Saturday. Just got a UPS shipping notification to say it’s on its way. the ETA is Thursday this week.

Not sure how much taxes will be, but the seat was £295 including shipping

The import tax was £58.45. This means it was actually cheaper than the one I ordered from Pyramid that never turned up.

Every cloud…

I’m well impressed with the Isotta seat.

I used to have a Sargent seat on my old 1250, but this Isotta feels even more comfortable and it’s half the price!

The Wunderlich was much better than standard for comfort, but just a little too wide so pressed on the inside of my thigh a bit.

Just in case anyone is wondering - the Cool Cover for the Wunderlich fits the Isotta perfectly.

I’ve used Cool Covers for years. Not so much for comfort, but for the cool draft in hot weather and not sitting on a soaking seat when it rains. Only issue is the cooling is a bit too good in winter

I did a few hours on my GSA Isotta seat today. Despite 34C seen on the dashboard, the seat remained very comfortable. Have ordered the matching pillion seat.

Mine is currently sitting in customs. Waiting to see how much import i have to pay. So looking forward to a more comfortable ride..

I was pretty impressed at 6 days from ordering to delivery, especially since I ordered late on a Saturday night.

The import taxes just appeared in the UPS app and were easy to sort out.

I’m also tempted to try this seat but concerned the standard Isotta seat on a GSA might be taller than the BMW GSA seat and I’d prefer not to have a low seat because of increased knee bend.

Can anyone offer experience as to how the standard Isotta GSA seat compares to the standard BMW GSA seat for height?

Thanks

Not scientific, but to me it felt about the same as the stock comfort heated seat. That’s on a standard GS though.

Don't know for std. On my GSA, the Low gives the same knee bend / flat foot as the BMW low seat. I think the foam is a little thicker but overall, it sits flatter, with less forward tilt. Also it may be marginally narrower, at least it presses the back of my inner thighs less and this might also help when putting feet to the ground.

Mine will be here on Thursday. All in including the exorbitant "handling fee" came in at £366, so just over a week end to end.

I've decided to buy a couple of these seats if I can manage to source any, mainly for my wife but I'll get the riders seat too as my ocd will need them to match.
Can someone clarify for me please, does the riders seat come as a complete seat and the passenger seat is minus the base ?
Cheers

If you get the regular comfort seat option yes this was the case for me. The riders seat went straight on but for the pillion I had to take the base off the original seat and transfer it across.

If you get the tiny comfort seat that looks more like an afterthought this goes straight on.

Is that for the GS?
For the GSA, they both come with bases and just click in.

Beware of buying from Motostorm in Italy. I bought the matching pillion seat from them. They use UPS for delivery. UPS hit me with a handling charge, on top of customs duties. There was no mention of this on the Motostorm website and they don't want to know, telling me to take it up with UPS. Would have been cheaper to get it from Pyramid Plastics in the UK.
