Isotta seat for 1300gs

Totally my fault but... My seat is on its way back to Italy as I mistyped my postcode and apparently royal mail can amend it and have to send it back to sender. No idea what now happened especially in relation to my customs that I have already pair. Computer says No!!!

Just back from an 800 mile tour of South and mid Wales.
As tubinia says these are very comfortable seats. 3 seven hour plus days and the comfort is so much better than the BMW seats. Hard to explain as they feel too soft when first sitting on them but think that the comparison to the harder BMW seat. No coccyx problems at all

The heating on them is fierce. On level one I could feel it through my textile trousers and it was hot.

Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a more comfortable solution. Just waiting for the pillion on to arrive.View attachment 504911
Does the rider’s heated seat plug into the wiring for the OEM heated seat and can then be controlled as the OEM ?

Fitted both, definitely cooler and more comfortable. This is the low seat version as that is what I had on originally and I have had no issues with any change in height.

If you have issues with the customs payment you could have it shipped to me in France and I will bring it over in December when we visit the in-laws in Christchurch, if that is an option.

That is very kind but it all worked out. Even though Royal mail expliictly told me they were sending it back to Italy a lady phoned me yestrrday and said there was a package in the delivery office and would I like to collect it. I obviously jumped at the chance. I was very confused but happy.

Got mine on Saturday. Ordering direct from Isotta took 6 days. Not bad. Parcelforce did their usual job and failed to match my customs payment to the parcel (via their email FFS) until I rang them, and added their usual £12 “doing their job” handling fee.
Just waiting for the bike now but on first glance the seat looks a much better shape. The stock “comfort” seat on the demo bike I tried was anything but!

I've had my Isotta for a month now. Over the weekend I did some all day rides and the comfort gremlin is still there, for me. Without doubt, the Isotta is better than stock, but, despite low setting at rear and high at front, I still feel tipped forward and the side of the seat makes my thighs sore. I get an extra hour of comfort from the Isotta, but I'm still sore and fidgeting after a day on the bike. Unlike my 1250GS and RT.

I've just added 4 x 7mm spacers to raise the entire front bracket and put bar risers with a 30mm pull back. I will try again. Can't keep throwing money at this. Not sure what else to do. I love everything else about the bike. Got to get this sorted though. Otherwise, I can see it spoiling upcoming tours.

Got my GS today. Tried the Isotta seat. Despite the comments here I find it is taller than stock. Not by much - maybe 10-15mm - but unfortunately too tall for me. It looks like the nose is a bit taller, probably to remove the slope in the stock seat. It’s the heated seat too so nigh on £400 all in with customs.
It feels comfortable and fits OK (not quite as neatly as the stock seat however, needs a bit of a shove to get the rear seat, er, seated).

As I ordered direct from Italy returning will be painful. If Isotta can’t sort it then I’ll put it up for sale here (unridden).

Kinell.
I bet you feel you’ve had your pips squeezed a bit, there.

Well it’s £365 from Pyramid so not much of a difference and Isotta delivered in 6 days. pyramid sell them to order so typically a 4 week wait.
