Israel buying stealth fighter jets

its like saying Israel have just bought Hummers.

its only cos thats the latest model on the forecourt and all the series 2 landy's are long gone.

yeah but the great war machine of needs beef to make mince meat....and cash to keep the wheels of industry going nicely ... so sell it but you've still got it...

as for the locals it's cheaper to buy someone else high tech shite than design and build your own, I use to deal with IWI and they'd sell stuff to anyone with and end user cert, escrow account and most importantly enough money.

deep down who cares what they buy and whom they use it on, once it's me at the wrong on of a missile then things would get more personal I suspect...

but then again chances of that happening are about the same as winning the lottery ....:thumb2

Just out of curiosity, why is a thread about the Israelis buying some American warplanes* in the "Ireland" section?




*Which in anycase is old news, they've been involved with the development program for some years, this is just the Israeli gubbermnt confirming that they're actually going to buy some.
 
I did wonder that myself but never thought to ask about it, perhaps they're being built in the Harland & Wolff factory? You see that's the trouble with stealth technology cos they're so hard to see they could be knocked together pretty much anywhere....and nobody would know...

I don't see why the israeli's need need new stealth fighters. They can still murder palestinian children in there beds by lobbing tank shells through the bedroom windows. It's worked fine for them in the past.

By the way, i consider Hamas murderers too, so there.

I think that the Site Moderator should put an end to this thread, it is a very imotive subject.
There are a few facts that should be clarified however, :-

The Arab nations initiated four wars against Israel:
· 1948 War of Independence
· 1956 Sinai War
· 1967 Six Day War
· 1973 Yom Kippur War
Israel defended itself each time and won. After each war Israeli army withdrew from most of the areas it captured. This is unprecedented in World history and shows Israel's willingness to reach peace even at the risk of fighting for its very existence each time anew.

'Thought for the day'

If the Arabs put down their weapons today there would be no more violence. If the Israelis put down their weapons today there would be no more Israel.

Think about it...

The Israelis have a golden opportunity in the offing, President Ahmydinnerjacket of Iran is supposedly visiting South Lebanon where he will meet with Hezbollah representatives and cast some symbolic stones towards IDF positions, it would only take a stray Barrett Light 50 cal round fired by accident.

What a load of cobblers! I particularly like the bit about withdrawing from "most" of the areas it captured. The UN certainly doesn't think so, as laid out in resolution 242, which Israel has steadfastly ignored for years.

I don't know where your getting your "facts" from, but for an unbiased history of the middle east clusterf*** you might try reading, the great war for civilisation by Robert Fisk.

OK he's a bit biased, but he does stick to the facts, unlike the Israelis and they're apologists.
