Northern Jock, Santiago's a lovely city to walk around in the summer or you could fly down south, rent a car and do the Lake District and/or Patagonia. Up north you have San Pedro de Atacama with a few days worth of attractions together with the National Parks of the Altiplano (further north) if you like nature. It's not quite on the Australia scale for getting around but it can take some time getting from A to B. Remember the seasons are reversed which makes a big difference from Santiago to the south.

Great day again . Rode back towards Santiago then down the Maipo Valley to Banjos Morales in the foothills of the Andes

I am enjoying this and it is nice to see a part of the World I am yet to discover and it is good to see you having a good time.
Are there any green places? Doesn`t seem as though there is much life where you are...

Carretera Austral will give you all the green you could possibly desire. :thumb2

Vstrom has been fabulous again . Two days on one in Gran Canaria and now two here .
All day comfy and I’m 6’1”.
Great screen . Just fine at 80 mph on short street of motorway we did .
Fuel range with 20 litre tank is 350 miles to empty .
A very under the radar bike.
Suspension a but budget but otherwise faultless . A mint second hand bike at £5k plus under a grand on new fork springs and rear shock would make it perfect .
