It’s not a mini-cruise. It’s a fucking ferry - An X-rated ADVenture….

Cool yer jets! I’m only fucking with you and repeating the questions I was asked when I bought my T Max!! lol
Have a good holiday 👍😘
As a former scooter-commuter (Honda SH300i) I well remember the scorn and derision that the now-deblinkered Arsey poured on T-Maxes and the like. This volte-face is presumably explained by the fact that this particular X-ADV "scooter" has a proper DCT gearbox and a chain final drive.
I am impressed by how much luggage is on the X-ADV. It is a real jack-of-all-trades.
Also enjoying the trip report.

Wasn’t me, having owned a TMax and ridden it to the south of France

310 miles left of probably the finest long road in Europe .
Perfect weather at 22 degrees and blue skies.
Marrakesh and Kushitani vented gloves

The perfect tool……riding the perfect tool for the job ( note inclusion of self-deprecating joke 😜)

Stick it in Sport and just ride the bends . Only occasional manual intervention needed .

Just back from a trip around the Brecons on my slightly older X-ADV. It really is a superb touring bike, and much much better than a 59bhp scoot should be.
Sport mode really pushes it along in the twists etc, and it's comfy at 80mph motorway blats.
I bought one to scratch the itch, and will update it to a newer one with cruise if and when I sell my vfr1200x. I am a convert - though if they shoved the nt1100 DCT engine in that would be some bike!!

I have a set of Givi Canyon softish / semi rigid panniers. With the bloody big old pizza box, they are big enough, and properly waterproof / light / lockable etc - and I can swap it all onto my other bike too if needed

FFS man. Thats a cow in a bun with a slab of cheese thrown in for good luck
…. Or pig if it’s pork….

I actually love my T Max and its practicality. Absolute hoot and incendiary on twisties too. But let’s be honest, they’re not motorbikes and neither are they substitutes for such?! The Honda definitely is closer with the footpegs and a chain, but still a scoot in my opinion.
Agreed on report and great pics as usual from OP 👍👍

Fuck me , you talk some shite !
Call them what you want but they are definitely a substitute for a motorbike , given that it can do all a motorbike can .
Dunno why you need to pigeon hole everything . It’s a very British trait needing to fit into a perceived group and conforming . The French and Spanish don’t seem to have such hang ups and enjoy and embrace all forms of two wheel transport .
I toyed with bringing my Vstrom 800 on this trip but didn’t have the miles done for first service and always planned to bring the X-ADV . So pleased I did as it’s perfect for these roads . Obviously that’s my opinion and you’d be looking in every shop window to see how stupid you thought you looked .

On a different theme , I’m surprised how many 1300GSAs we’ve seen today , and often in the middle of the road around a corner . FFS 🤦‍♂️

Conforming on a GSA no doubt
Pigeon holed for sure
Vive le difference !
👍

We went to the Picos 2 years ago, there was a Spanish guy on an X Adv, he couldnt possibly be a match for me on the mighty Multistrada..........Could he??????

bastard never dropped more than 10 seconds behind and always had loads of kit under his seat with his sarnies :ROFLMAO:

I have a Catalan friend. Lives between Barcelona and the Pyrenees. He has ridden an XADV since the original 750cc version came out in 2017. As do many of his local mates.

Wow, I’ll say it again, that looks amazing.

(Hotel and bike actually)
Doesn't it just.I have seen this place on the TV and often been in the area but seemed to forget about it.Great history to it aswell,I wonder if they have some sort of display on its history.
