Great day out with the boys.

We basically rode the Potes-Panes-Cangas-Riano-Potes loop but adding in Covadonga and the Mirador de la Reina then turning off on the CV80 before Reina to rejoin the N621 by Portilla de la Reina .

Roman bridge at Cangas de Onis

Then a blat down the N625 for lunch at Multiaventura Vidosa

IMG_4094.jpegIMG_4091.jpeg

Up and over the CV80 to Mirador de Piedrasitas

Then coffee in Portilla de la Reina to see my mate Zar

First met him with my wife in 2018.

So he’s about 10 now, bless him.

Then up to the Monumento al Oso

IMG_4105.jpegIMG_4107.jpeg

Then on to the obligatory Mirador del Corzo

IMG_4109.jpegIMG_4116.jpeg

Filled up back in Potes. Did 162 miles and put in 12.1 lites so had 1.1 left so another 15 miles ish at 60mpg. The trip meter mpg is very accurate.
Not bad fuel consumption as was caning it a bit today .

Then back to the Del Oso where Maia was waiting ⤵️

Great day out . Perfect temperatures peaking at 23 degrees c.

The X-ADV is definitely run in 😜

Left it in Sport most of the day .

I’d definitely recommend that optional rider pegs as used them most of the day as they sit you up and forward and give you more control, than having feet on foot boards, which I use mostly when pottering through towns etc .

Comfort seat is all day comfortable .

Nice meal tonight then we say adios to @Skid06 tomorrow when we leave early doors for a 310 mile reposition to Canfranc Station for the night before riding the sublime ( @Doc 🖕🏾) in its entirety .

Its early days yet as only done 500 miles on the X-ADV since leaving home , but to those that ask can you tour on it , the answer is already absolutely !

Don’t think I was holding the boys up but perhaps @Skid06 knows different 😜

Great pics of quite possibly my favourite part of the world to tour on a bike, looking forward to returning there in September with a couple of nights at Del Oso to round off the trip. Good to hear you're enjoying the X Adv a mate of mine has recently bought one and is also enjoying it, I wouldn't rule one out that's for sure.

I was wondering about the optional rider pegs....you have answered my curiosity

Lamb looks fekkin minging.:barf

T'pud looks exquisite. 👌

It probably does to a northern simpleton . 😜
They did have egg and chips in the starter menu , bizarrely, so you could have that as a main size portion 😜
Lamb was delicious . You don’t get it properly like that in the UK, as they would have cut all the fat off first and dried it out to appease the limited culinary tastes of the inhabitants 🤔
Lamb looks amazing. Crispy fatty skin. Not so keen on puds.
Lamb was amazing . Had it last year too. So much flavour and just fell off the bone .

We had some lovely Lamb whilst there.
