Pleasant but a tad hot day from Rencurel to Bourges , routing direct avoiding autoroute except for adding in this section of the D995 between waypoints 2 and 3

Stopped for coffee and to buy a baguette for lunch at a boulangerie and leant back on a metal chair , which promptly snapped and sent me flying backwards

Just been chatting with Alena, the hotel owner about the new security barrier . There was a spate of thefts last summer in Vercors by a gang from Grenoble . Thirty four bikes stolen including two from here . She was told that they were ALL 1250GS/GSAs !!!
The gang have since been arrested .
I mentions her dad used to leave his keys in Ducati Hypermotard , and she says it would have been fine as they were only targeting specific GSs!
Eeeeeeeeek security barrier needed at the Hotel Marronnier - not good.

It was a calzone pizza . My little joke , seeing as we were at an Italian restaurant and I said the French call it a pastis. Which I thought at least some would know is something a tad different.

Well, I did wonder because I've always had a pastis before my meal... with water not lemonade! Ricard too, not that other imposter. :D
