It’s that time of year again....

Regrettably

I have to cancel this year.
Will be cancelling 1 room tomorrow in Hotel, so if someone wants a double room, it is available.
I had a very big Off yesterday whist trail riding.
Front wheel over side of a big drop at circa 20kph. shoulder first onto a large flat rock.
Fractured clavicle, 3 cracked ribs, fracture at sternum. Small bleed in front of heart.
11 hours in hospital today. No driving biking or riding for 6-12 weeks.
If I hadn't been wearing full armour, some of you would soon be admiring my new wooden overcoat.
Damn!

Very sorry to hear that, glad you avoided a worse outcome, and hope you recover soon and well

That’s a bummer Michael. Ribs are painful especially when you’re trying to sleep. I found it best to sit up in bed. And don’t laugh !
But as Simon says it coulda been worse

Get well soon :thumb

Due to a family bereavement Anne and I will not be attending this weekend. I have let the hotel know. We had one of the apartments next to the hotel booked. Hopefully see some of you on a ride out or fish dash during the year.

We're going to have to bow out of this one I'm afraid. We're living in Kerry, commuting to Dublin for work, trying to manage 2 dogs with separation anxiety:rolleyes:

The planets just aren't aligning for us.

See yis all at the next one:thumb have a fabulous weekend:D

We're back on again;) We've booked a dog friendly room and bringing the pooches with us:thumb

Hi folks,
Anyone interested in meeting up in Galway city early friday afternoon (after 2.30pm) and biking it out Leenane direction somewhat together??

Advance party

Just checking out the drinks in Hamilton’s bar for you all.

Advance party update

For full research reasons we had to compare the drinks from Hamilton’s bar with Gaynor’s next door.
Orchard Thieves gets the vote on the cider front but it’s difficult to choose between the Guinness - more research needed.

It's a long shot...

:D:D It's a long shot but don't ask don't get! :D

If any of the folk travelling to Leenane from NI or UK and doing a grocery shop in Tesco this morning can you pick me up a few of Geeta's Lime and Chilli Chutney. This item is discontinued in ROI supermarkets and we miss it terribly. Thanks.

Hmmm ..... clearly forward planning is not one of your hidden skills. No one from uk mainland is going to be reading this at 0830 today , then shopping , then travelling to catch a boat , etc etc. BUT , luckily for you I can probably manage a visit on route from sunny Co Antrim. Don't hold breath - they may not have any in Carrickfergus .... will try and get you a couple. Don't leave me with them , not my favourite (despite having lived in India for two years)

That's a negative : No empty space on the shelf which tells me they are not planning to have it available. they did have a sister product .... but NOT what you wanted !!

Have fun. I hope the weather is kind and the Guinness is creamy. I know the route will be fantastic as always. See you next time.
Owen.
