It cut out HELP

I have got a gs adv1150.
On returning home tonight I opened the throttle a bit, I was doing nicely up the hill of the M11 from the M25, so on the way down the other side. I thought, I would try a bit more, yes, untill.......... when it cut out, as if it had a limiter fitted. I had to slow down, and then it was alright again, any one had this problem or should I go to the dealer, and say.... HOW MUCH........CHRIST.. HELL

I had the same problem recently. Turned out the crosswind on one stretch of road was shoving my waterproofs into the air intake.

At what revs did this happen?? cos if you get it to rev to the red line you will find the rev limiter kicks in
