I awoke to this springlike scene this morning.

A second later I remembered that the car was locked in the warehouse at work and it was two wheeled transport on the faithfull steed that had clocked up the 40k a few weeks ago. Amazingly I noticed the exact moment and recorded it for posterity

The gritters didn't seem to have been out so it was an interesting ride the 8 miles to work.

About the same amount of snow up here this morning.
I like (not sure like is the right word, but the doctors let me away with it,) my bike far too much to subject it to that level of risk.
Thats just silly.
How do you get home then, bike or car ?

Yup, I defintely don't miss Scottish spring We get that occasionally (very occasionally) here, and because it's rare, they're simply not geared up for gritters and the like...I take the car those days...:-D

Nice when it does happen though..

Sorry Johnnie, the 40K was a couple of weeks ago and it's way past 40016 now. Took it down to Lockerbie last Friday as well, a bit wild and wet coming back home. Even the huge weight of 1150 plus tosser wasn't enough to keep it in one lane a couple of times as gusting crosswinds just threw it around the road.

North of Happendon Services a curtain sided transit had blown over and was being recovered
