Italy and Croatia in May....

Hi,

I'm planning the above trip this year. I've been to Itlay before in the 80's on an XT500 and a couple of years later on a Transalp. I guess not much has changed, apart from the price of everything.

Croatia is new for me. Anyone got any advice, tips or experiences?

Yes spend some time in Slovenia on the way as it really is a beautiful country. Visit Lake Bled and get rowed out to the island for some spectacular views of the castle and then walk up to it and have lunch on the terrace looking down upon the lake.
Also recommend Piran just before the Croatian border. Bikes can be ridden into the town free and park on the pavement unlike cars.Have a good trip!
