if the was a chance of me geting go on your bike for an hour or so i'd be happy just to meet up with you myself...:thumb
We had the big trail bikes yesterday, state of the art big off roaders KTM super enduro, the 1200 gsa and the HP2 , but if the was one bike i would have loved to have tried it was yours...:)

oh i think the next out will be wales and another in the peaks in spring / summer time if the other guys are up for it:thumb:beerjug: your welcome to join us..it's a open house

laugh n Learn

Cheers Terry for a top day.:clap:clap
I started off thinking S**T i'm never gonna do this-first decent was bloody rocky and had to put the bike into the bank-(thanks flipfly for the comment"you dont want to touch yer front brake yunno":o:o:o,) so after listening to advice and encouragement my day became a brilliant one and my confidance in myself soared :bounce1( being an off road virgin an all that )
These bikes will do what you ask. So in all thanks Terry but there are other thankyous to dish out...............................................

Karneival for putting me onto weightlifting( his bike twice or was it 3 times?):D

Flipfly to giving the best advice ever -" When you ride in ruts dont attempt to change ruts, stay in the one your riding." The off road god goes against his own advice and decides to attempt a swallow dive as his bike launches him into the deepest water that day:clap:clap:clap - bloody funny it was too!

..... and Terry for the best crash. No damage but a big intake of breath and the best stunt roll back onto your feet. then the look of amazement and the comment " how did that happen!!!". More weight training followed!!!!!

And finally the balls of the guys who rode on road tyres:eek:-well done :thumb2

Heres to the next day out.

cheers pipster for looking the rear may nx time you could ride a bit faster and lead by my example:eek:

in my greater efforts of going GREEN, ie recycling waste etc , walk to the shop to cut down car trips i take ,switch of at the mains for Electric, catch rain water for the garden and to clean my bikes with, (welll the little bits helps is my opinon.):)

i what did not allow for while using the dirtpanzer sunday was the amount of water to clean the bugger..:D:D:D i'm up to 3000 gallon now:D:D:D

these do take some cleaning, nomaly my ktm takes about 30 minutes..
but the dirt gets in places on the bmw in places you would not have thought of:D:D:D

ah but still worth it.. i got alot out of testing it on the lanes sunday and i must say this for the( old girl) as my m8s call it was a joy to ride on and off the lanes at the weekend.. can not wait to take it to the ALPS now:):):thumb:thumb

Rudie your a star :thumb2

The best thing about riding behind everyone is you get to see all the offs seem to remember someone on a GS1150 ADV black and yellow ;) trying his hand at freestyle MX :D

Best trick of the day was a double back flip on the lane through Eyam quarry landed on his feet but the bike was 100 yards up the lane upside down fantastic ...

No damage to bike just the riders pride :clap

Good fun day out had by all :thumb2 next time were out i will take my turn at the front and Terry can enjoy a no pressure day out....

well done everyone, i am impressed with you off road riding gods.
it really shows skill to take these bikes off tarmac.

who had the old proper bike !!! thought it was GS's only.

MOT on the xl185 on saturday :thumb2 in crewe so will be ready for another guided day out, it may take me a day to get to the start!!. and i am sure that you Gsers will show me up even on an ancient jap single having to lug round FAR TOOOOOOOOO much rider weight:rolleyes:

well done on the air ambulance fund too by the way

it was a GS only day out:o well it was ment to be:D:D
pispter still has is GS and was going to come on it but found a new toy more suited to the JOB, and japper join us in matlock ...how could we say no to a guy with such a class bike, plus he is a nice chap also:D

i hope we get to do another one , maybe in spring time when we have a few more map readers so we can split into two groups .. those folk who know me from my smaller bike days out know i realy do not like big groups, just does not look right to other users of the lanes.:o but looks great on a picture:)

not for me to surgest the next outing i'm hoping someone else will get the next one going or though i'll be happy to map read for a group that day,

The was 4 people on the run who could lead the groups , so i hope a few of them will put the names down along with mine:beerjug:
but it's worth saying that each group going in a total different way to the other one so not to pee the farmers off.:clap or anyone else too much:thumb

I would be happy to lead the next ride you deserve a rest :rob

yea i looked in the mirror , the one thats not broken before anyone else says it:) i'm looking:P old

talking of old :potkettlewe need to drag zaper into this event:D:D

Terry, I'll lead a ride but will need some guidence on routes etc.

It's easy to think, whilst following you, that leading is easy. I don't believe it is though and your experience and patience shine through.

Let me know if you need me.
