Help required, anyone in Nottingham or Derby area able to do a diagnostic test on a watercooled GSA 2014.

Bike goes into first gear ok and runs ok, can get netural but readout says 2nd gear, after that it will go through gearbox but not run correctly eg not rev

Ideas anyone as going on holiday and main dealer cannot look until back end of next week

I have not seen this before and don't know what is wrong but given your description if it were my bike I would disconnect the battery for a few minutes and then reconnect and see if it made any difference.

Does the gear position change, if so does it correspond to a correct gear, ? if not it sounds like gear position sensor could be an issue , this may affect performance,
it is accessible from behind the left foot rest on the back of the engine ,held in with t25 torx, the engine oil may leak out, so put a bowl under to catch any spill,

Gear position changes, 1st ok, no neutral light unless I hold gear lever in certain position then it will read 2nd, drop it into 3rd nothing on dash and it will not rev, 4th revs, 5th revs, 6th nothing on dash and will not rev

Does anyone know if a GS11 will work on the watercooled !!!!!

I think it's only the wifi one that's good with the LC

It sounds like the sensor is out of sync or worn, it is a control unit so the issue will be at the sensor if as you say the gears select ok, it is causing the power loss as the engine and brakes will expect a gear position,
Gs911 wi fi will adapt gear position sensor, if this fails there is a case for inspecting the sensor for wear as oil ingress may be passing the seal on the shaft in the sensor,

I had this on my GTR1400. Turns out it was water (after heavy rain) in the gear position sensor near the gear shift. Dryed it out and worked fine after that. Not sure how the BMW one works but maybe a thought.
