Just need to get the crank and clutch assembly sent off for balancing and well be on the way.

Nothing beats new bike swag.

Wow some nice looking kit there Rob,the pistons look a work of art,im getting some of them

It seems a shame to hide them inside the engine Chris. Tempted to get another pair to keep on the shelf.

If you break it down the individual parts aren't that expensive. The barrels were £240 + vat to have re nicasiled and timeserts fitted to the stud threads. My barrels were shot so it was no more expensive having them re done and a pair of Moorespeed pistons than buying a Siebenrock kit.

The one piece oversize valves are actually cheaper than BMW valves and the guides and fitting aren't expensive. The big money is in the head work but even that's not too bad.

I'm guessing the engine will stand me around £3k when it's done. Which sounds a lot but a good late second hand engine fetches nigh on a grand and you still only have a low power unit that more than likely needs money spending on it.

Would be interesting to compare engines when I get my parts back. I had a seibenrock 800 to 1000 conversion and I'm getting the heads machined to match the bores plus a bit of tidying up on the heads. Not changing carbs as I want a stronger midrange. What cam are you putting in? I have not selected a particular valve timming setting yet. Posiibly I will change the Zorst as well.

......that sound like you are trying to justify the whole ‘spend’ to your Mrs......:D

We’re on your side....money well spent...Please keep us informed on how it goes when it’s all back together.....:thumb2

it would interst me how much Ritchy charges for a set of over sized headers and Y-Piece i did mail him quite a few times but in the end gave up and had some knocked aut over hier by RS hausler in the end cost 700 euro nice but pricey

This thread has a false title. It's not getting anywhere!

Stop chatting about it Rob and put it together and post pictures whilst you are doing it.

Thank you, in anticipation.
