I dunno whether I'm gonna regret asking this:augie, iv always fancied one of these, but how do they compare as a two up tourer to the gs/gsa???

They don't really compare. Don't get me wrong they're very capable, I've been around Europe on mine two up with luggage and it was awesome, however, a GS / GSA is almost effortless by comparison.

They're also showing their age now too in the ultra hi tech world we now live in.

I bloody love mine to bits though!! Just about to roll over 50k miles ...

Always had a soft spot for the SMT meself.....soft spot for big V-Twins full stop if truth be told. Was having a good bounce on a 950 Multistrada at Manchester the other weekend. None of the pillion seats look as good as the GS though....a consideration now Mrs.tree tags along.
