Its On!!!! So Book Early

I suppose I will have to let you in on the venue. I was thinking of meeting at my house for 1200, leaving when everyone is there or 1230 which ever sooner:eek:. We can all juice enroute to the Castle Inn. The rideout will be about 2 and half hours long + lunch stop on the way, getting to the Castle at 1600 ish. If people can say if they will be there or not it would be a great help. BigAl can't make it till 3pm so he's out, so is PW and Taff(are you still there Taff?), Trangwales(too busy making veggie stuff for the BBQ :augie), not sure about Quicknick or the bogsnorklers.

We're still none the wiser! Can you pm Ian your address. We're definately coming. Do you or Mel need any help with the food for the BBQ..... or just the money!

The grid ref for the Castle Inn is N51 57.449 W3 12.151 (or there abouts) I know ewe all know where it is but a certain person could't find it this weekend :augie he found Talgarth though, which is close but no cigar :D
I hope the weather holds as this should be good, I hope.:augie

I,m planning to be at your house at 12.00 on Saturday.

Hope you've got a big kettle.

Do you need any help with anything?

Paul

Cheers Al, don't forget the bickies.:D If you need anything give us a call.

Making coffee and eating BigAls biccies :augie :D. I've just cleaned the BBQ, so there are no traces of critters on there, as I wouldn't want to spoil the taste of TrangWales's SOYA kebabythingy's, I reckon that it's :spam in disguise :nenau

Treasure hunt

Hi Al, sorry its a bit late but I can now confirm me and wifey can make it, we will be camping for 2 nights ( or sleeping in car whichever is the warmest lol:bounce1)
Sorry wont be able to make ride up with you as I'll be getting lost with BigAl and the bogsnorklers.:beerjug:

CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nick I'm sure you meant bike, or is your wifey getting a lift with Linda? Glad to see ewe can make it, better late than never :thumb
That is now 16 people in total, which is great (15 + 1 veggie for the BBQ) :beerjug: :bounce1

I won't be down until late-ish PM Saturday, given current mastery of the throttle. If you were on the Cat & Fidle at the weekend and saw a traffic jam I was the one at the front. Emergency repair to leather trousers as fly broke. As dead birds don't fall out of the nest there was no danger to anyone passing ...
Weather forecast looks reasonable for Sunday & Monday

If anyone wants to join the veggie non-mince extravaganza drop me a PM and I'll make some extra portions. I'm bringing my old stove down so there may be an additional spontaneous barbecue if the valve blows like it did last time. Deep Joy!!:blast

Me on bike Al and Jo in car with all the camping gear so she can have some creature comforts (more room for some " medicine" in the car:beerjug::beer:)

If ewe have space, some nice campy style chairs will be a bonus, also do ewe have a folding table, we can use to put the food on, if so bring it? I am trying to source one at the moment, with little joy. Big Al may be ble to take the legs of his patio set, but a folding table would be easier :thumb

Allan, sounds like this will be a great weekend...onlywish I could join you...

lots of them single track lanes on the treasure hunt????

have a good one

Wouldn't have been riding an 08 GS in yellow would he?

I scooted out on a little jaunt over the weekend and meandered thru Talgarth, waved at said GS and he dithered at a junction and turned to follow me, out of town and across the Langorse road to Bwlch, where I went over to Llangynidr and he turned for Brecon or home.

Thought it might have been one of you lot ... if so, close but no cigar, he was only 1 1/2 mile from the Castle at the closest point!

Have a good weekend BTW, sorry I can't make it, but been booked onto a canal boat for the weekend ... in England ... in the rain ... with two (potentially) bored kids ... no hope of nipping away on the bike for a few quite mins ;-)

As you can tell, much rather be home around the Castle!

I got a pasting tale in attic doesnt take up much space but might need a plastic sheet of some sort to cover it if thats any use Al ?:rob

Cheers nick :thumb2 but Al has got a table from his sister, I met up with him for lunch today (the fecker nicked one of my sarnies :troll3
Craig, It wasn't the man in question, as he would give his right arm (and left) for an 08 GS, but going by the dithering bit, he may well have a surprise for us at the weekend, thats if he can find the Castle Inn :augie :D

PS Don't look at the weather forcast http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/7days.asp?zipcode=LD3 0EP Till at least Friday/Saturday now will you :augie

:rob
I hope no one's been out practising for this treasure hunt ... and don't forget that regardless of whether I've got a SatNav or not I can't be accused of being lost if I didn't know where I was in the first place.
Us Gogs only know where Llandrindod Wells is in any case. Anyone give me directions from the Metropole????
