iTunes Crackle and Fart?

As I don't have an iPod I use iTunes to download and I can listen on the PC through iTunes itself, or rip to a CD, again using iTunes.

I have two PC's registered to download from and still get the odd hiccup, crackle etc during tracks whether listening from the downloaded files or the ripped CD on both...

Does anyone else get this "effect", is most noticable on the last two albums I've downloaded...

Yeah ... iTunes seems to skip the odd fraction of a second every few seconds.
It's REALLY irritating. 'specially if you've just bought the track.

Are you running iTunes 7?
