iTunes won't work!

A bit of assistance please?

Updated my iTunes last weekend and now it will not work. Every time it opens, a fault screen comes up (iTunes is not working, windows is looking for a solution etc). Another screen then comes up telling me that it needs to shut down.

Running AVG - could this be blocking iTunes for some reason?

Remove & reinstall iTunes.

Tried reinstalling / repairing. Will try removing first (hopefully it won't delete my music / film / photograph collection)..

Tip: make sure you uninstall ALL apple products, iTunes, Bonjour, etc., before doing a re-install.
