The front brake has seized, all rusted up. How much should it cost to get sorted at a main dealer (SSB). Also, is there anyone in the Southport area who might be cheaper?

Cheers in advance.

:D ask a stupid question...............

If it's only the pads that have 'grown' on to the discs, don't worry about it. Just ride it and give the front brake some grief to polish the disc again.

The front wheel wont turn!

Which leads me to believe that

A - It might be more serious.
B - I'm a tit.

Little bit from column A, little from Column B.

Take the pads out.

Then see if the wheel turns or not.

If it turns, the problem is only pads/discs.
Get some wire wool or scotchbrite and clean up the disc.
Likewise,the pads.
Re-assemble.
Ride.

A straightforward half hour with a cuppa.

( Or maybe not, going by the ever downward spiral of mechanical ability appearing here... )

The above assumes, of course , that you`ve removed your disc lock before trying to move the bike.....
