My new'n has lots of mods already, though my table in my bedroom is now full of parts and stuff that are going on when I get it. It has a GSA screen and winglets, might 'bin' those, and a boss exhaust which is gunna be for sale.

Going to look at how easy it is to dump the ABS as well when I get the chance. Alpos panniers still here will need to buy a rack for 'em.

I can't fooking wait!!! :clap

Oh Dear oh Dear:roll Don't forget to inform the Insurance company that all the mod's were done by a mechanically competent person:thumb

KIS - Fill with fuel and ride it.:aidan

Enjoy

Been there done that... :augie I'll be back if it causes any problems.

The GSA screen is better - so is the Bos exhaust. Don't be too impetuous :rob

Promise me you'll ride it as it comes for a couple of weeks before you set about "improving" it.

If you don't want the ABS you can switch it off ...and crash as much as you like......

:(

Believe me, neither can I:D
Promise me that I can be there when you test ride it after dumping the ABS:clap

So have I.. 550 miles over the weekend & not one breakdown:eek::augie;)

Good luck with your new Bike:thumb

Er. I believe there was one:augie

A very wise man once told me that the way to get a bike to go faster is to take the Carb Slides out and cut the Brake pipes...Give it a try....I'll not mention his name cos name dropping is crass....Mick Jagger told me that ....

That BOS exhaust is meant to be loud. I'll keep anything worth while but hate loud exhausts.

As for the GSA screen, one drop and it's smashed - no big tank and guards to save the winglets.

It shall undergo surgery upon it's return. Stainless bolts await it's arrival, LED bulbs, GPS, panniers, HID-Micro DE's and a whole load of other shit lying on my table. I'm gunna be well happy over the weekend.

I'll leave the ABS alone for now... :green gri I just want rid of the servos.

£177 for SW-Motech brackets, not including the adapter plate or any pannier fittings. Right rip off but had to pay it. :thedummy

And I haven't even got the bike yet. :bounce1:roll

How do you plan separating one from the other?
:nenau

Shep

Plyers and a hacksaw.

Or I'll look at how the non-ABS bike is set up and convert. It's not a priority and I'll probably never get round to it.

I must admit to putting some thought to it a few years back and I was going to try and remove all the bmw brakes and fit brembo goldline brakes (or similar) all round to my 04 ( I was having brake/servo issues) but there seemed no way of separating the two (abs/servo) systems. and I was starting to like having ABS.

I thought I read on here somewhere that in the case of servo failure it was very easy to bypass and do away with.
