Well looks like I'm joining the club.

Just paid the deposit on a second hand GS 1200

04 model with ABS,full luggage, full Remus exhaust system and changing the colour from blue to Yellow.

£8500 , I think I got a good deal even if it has 19K on the clock.( Nothing on a BMW they say)

I find my 1200 to be a sport bike, but you are sitting in a lot better position. I am driving it like I was my Yamaha 1100 in 79. The difference is that the 1200 does it all. :cool

Sounds like a good deal to me, that's about a 3k+ saving with all the add on's & it's now the right colour! Enjoy.

I thought the GS was going to slow me down from sportsbikes (one of the reasons I bought)......didn't quite work out that way round the twisties due to 50x more confidence!!!

Does restrict straight line speed, which IS a good thing. I'm sure you'll enjoy the bike. The more you ride it, the better it gets as well
