Hi all

Eventually, after 10 years, my Frank Thomas Transalp Aqua suit needs replacing.

I like the bib and brace type trousers, not waterproof anymore, but draught proof and reasonably comfortable, the jacket has been great in a few low speed spills and has been very waterproof up until this winter.

Any suggestions for a replacement? I'm a bit short for my weight(if you know what i mean), I ride all year round in all weathers, I hav'nt got room to store more than one set of motorcycle clothing (i live on a narrow boat) so the suit needs to be good.

Cost isn't as important as quality and I really like the bib and brace bit.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards Shep

I used to use the Hein Gericke Voyager jacket and trousers, in fact i'm still using the trousers (bib and braces set) and they've always been (and still are) awesome.

I've found them to be very warm, very comfortable, and with their soft, flexible hyprotec armour (ce approved) they stay comfortable when sat in the riding position too.

I've had them now for a good 5 years, looking a little grubby now, but still as functional, waterproof and safe as they were on day of purchase...

A big thumbs up.... the jacket is also very good, though i've just changed to a Belstaff Explorer which i'm very please with too.

Agreed with the HG VoyagerIII. It is an excellent combo, used it through this winter without incident.

The Master IV is another choice but even the guy as HG said it ws too expensive considering the Voyager.
