I have come to cross roads where I am thinking of either aquiring the HG Rallye GORE-TEX Jacket at £209 or Fieldsheer Highland 1PC Suit at £199.

Do an average of 55 miles a day to work and back and mostly the A13 where the wind blows like crazy 90% of the time. Not to familiar with the Fieldsheer stuff and not sure whether you put this over your normal clothing or do you wear it like a leather bike suit?

Tried the Fieldsheer One Piece because I was looking at an alternative to Aerostitch.
However, even with the linen out, I took me almost 10 minutes of contortions and twisting of the body till I got it on. Just to think doing this twice a day put me off and I left it on the shop...
After another ten minutes geting out of it...
No very helpfull if you need a toilet urgently...

By the other hand, with the favourable rate of exchange, Aerostich was never so cheap...around 370 quids for a one piece Roadcraft (FOB)

I wonder if we should pool an order to save on shipping...

Yosi I remember you telling me the fieldsheer is a bitch to get on and off.
I went pass Hein Gericke and walked around with the Tuareq rally jacket, very nice and comfy. For the life of me I could not hand over £200 for the jacket and left without buying anything.

For the extra bit of cash might as well get the real thing i.e. aerostich.

Had two HG Tuareg Rally suits. I wore the first one for three years including trips to North Africa and my ill fated attempt to ride to Oz' last year. I found them extremely comfortable, durable and suitable for cold weather, with the liner in, as well as very hot, with the liner out and all the vents open. The only thing with them is that their only waterproof with the liner in and once the outer shell gets wet it takes a while to dry out. The best solution I found, if it's hot and raining, is to wear a lightweight waterproof shell over the top and leave the liner out. I've had waterproof Gortex jackets but, in hot weather their not breathable enough.
