Jell battery charging

Hi Folks,

Could anyone help me on lead acid/ jell battery charging etc, formally

I have an lead acid battery which has just given up the fight after three

years.

I wish to replace with a gell battery the bike is canbus system, all is required

is the charging system happy to work with both batteries ?

3 years? That was a bloody expensive battery. Mine are both still on the original 8 years later and 7 years respectively. (How do I know they are still the originals? Because I knew the previous owners of both, thats how!)

Don't skimp on your battery. Get an Exide gel, the same as the original. Keep it topped up every 5 or 6 weeks through the winter. It will last many years.

Are you in the right section? - no 11xx has canbus...

However it makes no odds - the OEM gel works fine in 11's or 12's.
