It seems you need baby hands
Put a Dark Screen on my WC GSA today and by Jove it Ain't easy
The bottom screw needs a child hand to remove
Luckily I had my KTM tool kit to do it with the universal joint
Even then put the outside clips on back to front so had to do it again
looks better though :beerjug:

Did the dark screen make it hard to see what you were doing ?

I know it's no help now but if you undo the middle screw the screen comes off with the two retaining brackets attached. You can the remove them to place on the new screen. Then it's back on the bike and tighten it down with the middle bolt again.

Just 2 screws, less than 5 minutes to get off. Remove the trim, undo the remaining 4 screws that holds the screen bracket. Transfer to new screen. back on the bike and 2 screws to secure screen to the mount.

Damn feel so disappointed as I viewed this thread expecting to see a video of the messiah working on a WC model , wanted to see if he was any good with the spanners and if so was there was a contact number so he could work miracles on my bikes ESA

You must've follow instructions from that fella "the Missenden flyer" on you tube. He's also done it in reverse. It is literally a two minute job to remove a screen from the bike. Further five to change bracketry and another two minutes to fixit back on the bike. All in less than ten minutes.

Tip. Remove a screw on each side central to the bracket holding it in place then gently slide the assembly downwards. Rest is self explanotary. Job done.

I dropped one of the screws whilst changing mine, could have sworn it hit the floor, 40 minutes later & just before I rode to Bahnstormer to get a spare, found it just behind the front mudguard!

Buy a spare set of brackets then you can change screens in minutes! I have std GS screen and GSA screen for colder weather. I changed the retaining bolt for an allen headed one - much easier to keep hold of when fitting.

I've done this a few times.

Start with all the correct tools, practice "contorting" to reach stuff :) , a serene and calmed mind (Classic FM on in the background ?) and a sheet of paper under the bike. Work slowly. Don't rush. All done in 5 mins. :thumb
