R1250GSA basic is out of factory warranty in a couple of weeks time , as I intend to keep it for the moment (at least another year ) it is time to play this winter , Full set of Maxton Shocks will be going on over the winter , they were on the last R1200 GSA LC I owned and I had the rear serviced and overhauled last year with an uprated spring and I uprated the front spring at the same time .

Will be a difference once fitted but it is an utter PITA with the amount and time to strip it all down to do the front one especially in comparison with an 1150GS or a hexhead GSA20241016_092831.jpg20241016_092234.jpg

Swapped the front shock on the r1150gs last year , from putting the key in the lock to take the seat off to end of job was about 25 minutes , on the LC it took about 4 or 5 hours just to strip it and fit the shock never mind putting it all back together. You cannot beat progress
