I use aAberdeen BMW/John Clark- if you speak to Andy in Sales department (01224 335523) there is a 65% discount on all Motorrad stock plus Arai Tour-x helmets. I went behind the scenes in the sales department the other day and routed through all their boxes- came out with some real bargains- be quick, the Motorrad section has now saturated to Dundee..as you all know

Had look in today!!

Bought two Streetguard 2 jackets, and one pair of Streetguard trousers (could not find a pair to fit SHMBO)

And an inner bag for an RT Pannier!

Total Cost £567.38

So now we have to drive 100 miles to either Dundee or Inverness to get our bikes serviced, do the mechanics work weekends?? If not then day off work required to drive bike there. No doubt any service will take all day, so what to do for a day in Dundee or Inverness waiting for the bike.?? So now during the service they do not have the part needed = 3 days wait! Sorry Sir your bike will have to be left with us, please call back next weekend. Now you have to get back to Aberdeen, find transport of the week to get to work, then back to Dundee or Inverness to get your bike back. Train or bus will cost and extra (guess £50 return)
May be they can offer a lone bike??? Yes - well that will cost you an £27 a day Sir for the insurance - O and dont do too many miles or we charge.
May be time for a change to Honda after all.

Can any one advise if I can get a 6000mile service done while I wait in Inverness, Glasgow, or any other place and will they work Saturday???

The workshops at Motorrad Central in both Edinburgh (Dalkeith) and Glasgow are open all day Saturdays.

If you book in advance you'll be sure to get a loan bike for the day.......

For what it's worth, I got an MOT done yesterday at Clarks in Aberdeen, nae bother. It's close to where I work, they gave me a lift to work, so much easier than going south for it and hanging around half the day.
Obviously I'm happy cause there was nothing wrong so no extra cost

From what I can gather. John Clarks decided they could sell just as many Bikes from the one dealership in Dundee.

The closure of Aberdeen was an economic decision. Reduce the overheads, increase the profits.

So they say anyway

I heard a rumour this evening that John Clark's in Aberdeen are going to be stopping the servicing as well!!

No Surprise there!! Anyone heard anything?
