. . . was shut.

The run up was great 300+ miles. Even some sunshine at Balmoral and over the Lecht. Roads are much cleaner now and a lot of re-surfacing been done. A few beers now and a good sleep in Thurso then back down via Ullapool and Glencoe tomorrow. Hope it stays dry. Maybe big boy will give me a shot on his S Thou!

Of course it's shut.
It's pre Easter on a friday. Whaddya expect, MickeyDuckland?:augie

Shoulda let us know you were here, I'd have have opened the place up for you:D

Not much more activity when it's open. Did you go to the actual most northerly point of the mainland rather than the self publicised one?

Point of order, no-one in the JOG business community promotes themselves as the most Northerly point. Groats has always been, traditionally, the furthest point from Lands End (which isnt the most Southerly point) by road. The road to Dunnet Head was nothing more than a rough track back then, so the early motorists used JOG as a finishing point.

And if you want amusements, crowds and coachloads of ugly townies - feck off to Blackpool.:D

Not at all.

I was ready to sink a cuppa at the burger van on the pier like I did early morning last time I visited.

And luckily I had 20p in my pocket to 'spend a penny'
:)

Home now. About to doze off on couch now. Jings it was cool out there today.

Glen Coe and Rannoch Moor awesome, as always, with cloud on the hill tops.

Quite a few Tosser Types out and about.

A new Ducati Diavolo (pizza?) at Tyndrum looked interesting.

Apologies if Geoff didn't rush up to cook your own personal out of season burger....he's never been open before Easter.;)

Absolutely, your twenty pence goes to offset the wages of the fully manned (during the season) and immaculate bogs which you used. And no doubt you will have noticed the absolute lack of parking charges while you were there....
