So where can you get fed and gaurantee other motorbicyclists will be?

It was a nice day FFS!

:nenau

Hartside cafe is probably odds on to have other bikers but you can only go there so many times in a year:nenau

Hardly been out on the GS since the 3 peaks:( perhaps a ride out next weekend then, where do you fancy or I could lead you on a mystery tour, a one where I actually know where I'm going:D

Indeed: Didn't go to Hartside for that very reason and went to Rothbury indirectly, as you say it can get a bit "familiar"...

I could go for a Mystery Tour though... :thumb2

Hartside was busy today, there was a Bimota website meet up I think....nice to see some interesting bikes for a change instead of the usual rice burners:toungincheek

Bollocks!

Thought Rothbury was quiet.....

:blast

Shhhh, very quiet in the Borders this morning also, set out from Ovingham at 09:30, to Alston then Brampton by 11ish, saw no bikes at all.

Then along the A7 to Hawick via the Buddist place in Eskdalemuir, saw 1 bike, Divvy 900 I think.

Then to Bonchester Bridge (flippin loads of bikes all heading the other way), wasn't until half one that I stated to see 2 wheeled traffic.

Mind I head out early so I avoid the rush.

I went along the Military Road almost to Greenhead - I was out at 9:00 and cut back diagonally to Rothbury by 10:30 easy.
As I was heading home everyone was going the other way...

No one else set off early as we were all at a bikers free beer night in Newcastle on Saturday :beerjug:

Ah ha, that set my overactive mind at rest, I was paranoid I was heading the wrong way all day, like there was something bad going to happen.

Popped to the Buddist place to improve my Karma :), all right I misread it, thought it said Nudist :augie

Usually quite a few bikers at Carlton bank cafe (Lord Stones) but it's a bit of a trek south for you. Worth a look if you're in the Teesside area though,

I meant to have a look there the other month when Loueye was para-gliding or something like that....

we were out at 8.30, we went to hartside it was cold and wet when we got there and it wasnt that busy. it started to brighten up so we then headed over to the lakes via polly bridge then up some pass. then on to patterdale, ambleside, windermere. nice roads and nice veiws but to many cars and people. kelvin was leading as i have never been over there before and i wouldnt hurry back in the summer time(TOO BUSY).(Give me the borders anytime) then we headed back to hartside and it was chocka as there was a benelli bike meet on. we then headed back home got back at 5.50 over 300mls a good day was had.
