Just had a very convivial evening with Dane(of this parish) and current wife at The Strathardle, showed him the site of much derring do at Blackloonies and let him sample one of Nei....my bottles of Baisceall Dubh....seemed to enjoy it.....

Strathardle as good as ever.

So is the Baisceall Dubh....roll on the next cask...

Lucky escape I'd say !

Not an escape from the grand evening with Gerard and the our Wifes, or the good food, special drinks or the enticement of a 600m ride to a 2016 blackloonies event if I'm not local at the time.

The lucky escape was early Sunday morning, left our wee Glen at Auldallan with frozen snow at 7am, slid up glenisla road with the snow still falling, left Perth with flakes like snowballs falling, continued into heavy rain , flooding and strong winds down M74.

The borders were very blustery, as the campervan driver in front found as he drifted across 2 lanes of M6 at Shap on his two nearside wheels, just returning to 4 wheels before the hard shoulder. Not so lucky was the Lorry on its side a mile further along, we were close enough to get past as no one was hurt.

Onwards with caution and finally we pulled into Canterbury 12 hours after leaving the glen.

I was very pleased I had changed to winter tyres the day before we left.

Looking forward to meeting others from around the area at to Blackloonies if I can keep up
