Jolt into 1st Gear - Clutch not disengaging?

hmm
so engine warm through, on the centre stand, Clutch in followed by a good pause, then into first. wheel moved and the stops.
I'm starting to think 'Feature' rather than fault :(

Clutch drags because of oil film between plates, oil then 'spins' off plates - drag reduces. I think this is why it helps to blip the throttle on down changes. Have said this stuff before but got slagged off.

Maybe the self energising clutch stays a bit more engaged than it should do?????? I am sure BMW know why but it is their chosen engineering compromise.
