I have an olympus camera that I've used for years without any problems at all. Bought a casio camera last month - great photos but one problem...
Why are my casio photos about 420kb but each photo from the casio is a massive 2.20mb!!!
It's causing me problems sending and uploading...what am I doing wrong?

Your Casio will probably be much higher resoluton, than your old camera. If you had it for years, its probably a 1 or maybe 2 Meg camera which is why you have small images. Cameras now are getting up to 7 or 8 Meg. Basically they capture 7 or 8 times the detail.

You have 2 options, either set the option on your new camera to record small images, it'll be in the manual somewhere, or when you download them to your computer use software ( Paint, Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop etc ) to reduce the image size

it's the physical size of the pics... the new camera has much greater mega pixels therefore the picture is bigger

use irfanview to reduce the physical size and saved quality size

Thanks:thumb2

My old camera was 2 mega pixies whereas the new one is a mighty 7.2!
