I took my bike for an MOT and it started fine to get there but the garage couldn't start it. I wasn't too surprised as it hasn't been used much recently and it was only a short trip to the MOT.

The nice man said they'd had to jump started it from a booster pack using the connection points under the seat. I wasn't aware that there were points under the seat. I've only ever used the battery connections behind the right hand side panel, which is what we did when I went to collect it. There's no mention of any points under the seat in the owner's manual.

Anyone got any ideas, please?

Could a previous owner have attached a charging cable and left it under the seat?

Or were they just referring to the battery which is sort of under the seat. You just access it via the side panel

No previous owner - just me!

Maybe he meant that but it's not how it sounded!

my R1200RS LC had a red jump start post so I guess the GS has one too. The battery pos connection was not accessible without pulling the battery out of the frame. On the RS you can use it for connecting accessories too.

Exactly. GS1250. Take off side panel and there is a red +12v point, and you can access the -ve terminal of the battery.

They are “under the seat, behind the side panel”.

And I believe this doesn't go through the CAMBUS curcuit
