Just a little bit excited..

Well, the reason for the excitement was the phone call in the middle of last week from a bloke telling me about his brothers mid eighties R80 G/S PD that had been put away into the back of the garage back in 1998/9 and sat there ever since.
And would i be interested in it before they call the scrapman to come and collect it...... I said i'd think about, and his brother, the owner, was going to call me on saturday.
Which he did.
And this morning (sunday) i was off to have a look and decide if i really could be bothered to add yet another old airhead GS to the collection. :D

Is that it ? :sleep

Anyway.
Arrived at the location this morning.
Looked at the bike covered in dust at the back of the garage and it was an R80GS PD. His brother doesn't ride bikes so got the one small detail ( the / inbetween the G&S) wrong
Not so exciting. Never mind.
Only 23K miles with a kickstarter gearbox, panniers, toolkit and handbook etc etc.

Previously owned by the Earl of Liverpool. :D

So, saved from the scrapman and death by dust, and now it's all mine. To which i'll no doubt add to the depth of dust over the next few years as it sits in my garage.
