Hythe via Bracknell then Calais to Andorra(bike doesnt like it there ran like a pig failed to tick over {o2 sensor?}) via Millau of course and back up the west coast to Ploermel(9 days 1962miles) for 3 nights then on to Calais and home.
Total 14 days 2701 miles and yes the 1 is important
Staying in formula 1 hotels http://www.hotelformule1.com/formule1/index.html
and other cheap hotels in the Accor group.
Considering the missus has had her licence for less than 3 months I'm proud as punch of her
4 bikes R1150GS(me), F650GS(missus),K1200LT(mates), ER6F(his missus)
Had to add 250ml of oil to my bike after the first 1900 miles and may have to fit a new clutch assembly but other than that absolutly fantastic .....oh and it needs the balancing redoing....and a service for both bikes.
A trip with everything from fear(wet roads and high winds) to fun(Running down a giant dune near to Arcachon)
Being told by the people sitting in a traffic jam at a tunnel(closed due to strike) between Millau and Perpignan to use the hard shoulder and being smiled at whilst doing it was also great.
Next time we'll do it differently so we have more time to look around but as some days weather reduced us to 40mph and food poisoning got us all on day 4 we couldnt cover as many miles as fast as we hoped.
All in all a great 2 weeks.
If you never tried it GO
