Hi guys, bought a gs today:D which is great, really pleased with the bike,2008 1200, no mods, but would like to do some things later on, exhaust system is high on my list.I had a remus can straight through on my old 1150 adventure. are they still considered top notch or are there better products available for this model?
what Iwould really like to have a moan about is ........Insurance companys: :blagblah I phoned up my insurers to change over bikes and was told that my present policy would cover my new bike but there would be an administration charge of £50 ,fine I thought everybody has to make a crust.:blagblah To my utter surprise they phone me back SIX hours later to tell me there will be an additionall charge of £150 for the remaining six months!!!!! on your card sir? on your bike mate!! SO I phoned round other insurers and had quotes for half the price for the whole year. would like to name names but not sure if its allowed on the forum
cheers guys

Did you speak to ourselves? I guess you're already sorted now but in the future if you ever need a hand then please do get in touch :)

Cheers

newer, more powerful bike, worth more money, costs more to insure.

who'd have thought? :blast

I've had that bullsh**t from company's before try n say can't insure or oh it'll be this much extra or the auto renewal when Iv told them no longer own the bike yet they still send paperwork out twats

Welcome to the forum too enjoy :thumb2

But then when you cancel and try to claim a refund on the outstanding 6 months they will charge an 'admin' fee and you'll get nothing like half the premium back, making it uneconomical to change.....

Not always the case certainly not when it comes to cars, £3K worth of 2006 Fiesta Zetec S cost £78 a year more to insure than a £21K 2012 Audi A3 S-line go figure??

They dont make sense, same when i tried to insure my niece a 2003 peugeot 206 worth around £300 to be honest was quoted a thousand pound cheaper when i entered a value of £1200 or in instead of £300...
