If water can get in, oil can get out, unless you have an oil leak, don't worry, just ride.

Not necessarily. If the bevel box gets warm in use , the air and oil inside will pressurise and some air will escape. When the box suddenly cools as in a ford, the air / oil will contract and a bit of water will be sucked in. No seal on a moving surface can ever be total.

If it s only a bit, I wouldnt expect much damage if any. Most outboard motor drive legs get some water in and continue to run OK provided they are not just left to stand unused like that.
