2015 Road King so Rushmore and last of the Twin Cam series that I bought new. I added to it a more comfortable dual seat and solo seat, EG handlebars, stainless catalyst free headers, CVO slip-ons, FP3 tuner, docking hardware, rear rack, passenger backrest, bag liners, and probably a few other goodies. I sold it to a friend in 2022 with 14.4k miles, it now has 17K. Well kept by me as well as him in a heated garage so no corrosion, scratches, etc. He just called to clarify the FPS and headers I had put on it saying he just listed it for sale for $10,500. I'm tempted to buy it back, please talk me out of it.

Not. sure why the link appears in German, it's a local to me listing?

Doc, you're not helping! I've been trying to get to fewer motorcycles, and the ones I keep to be lighter!

If the price is right, buy it.

You may love it and choose to sell something else, or realise it’s an experience you don’t need to repeat and sell it for the same price.

I’m not generally a Harley fan. Nothing against them, just never really ‘got’ it. But I do like that, especially in that colour. I’d buy it back if I were you Clifton.

LOL you're not making it easier..... but I did ask.

My initial thought was his $10,500 asking seems quite fair. But looking at other ads it appears motorcycle values in general and Harleys in particular have dropped in the last year, so maybe it's not such a good price. OTOH I had to go through 2 sets of bars and 2 seats to make it as comfortable as my previous EG Standard, and it runs and sounds nice so it's set up just right for me. But then there's the Goldwing I have, and I certainly don't need two heavy tourers so it would need sold off in this depressed market.
He has other bikes and really wants to sell it. I told him "if you aren't getting interest and have to lower the price let me know".

Buy it, you will regret it if you don't. If you then regret buying it back you can just sell it again.

Buy it…sell the wing!

You know the bike, and you set it up to be right for you, so no messing about getting it right…if after six months you decide it’s not for you, sell it on.

Advice and suggestions taken, thank you.

Forgot you had a Wing - don’t buy it…
Actually this is what I'm thinking. My friend Bob (the owner) called saying he's dealing with two "interested parties" who just want to converse via Facebook and email rather than picking up the phone and calling. What is it with potential buyers only wanting to communicate via keyboard? Personally I wouldn't consider buying a used vehicle unless I could actually talk with the owner. They're both asking for a "vehicle history report" which neither us (nor my local Japanese brand dealer) is familiar with. I don't know how such an entity could even gather the pertinent information because I never took the bike back to the dealer and their awful mechanics. In the back of the manual though is logged in detail every service, tires, etc that I did and when.
Anyway I've dodged a bullet because yesterday I was close to buying it back but I've cooled down, I have the Wing as well as an XL1200R.

Next thing they will do is forward a link to a site that can provide a “history report” for “x” number of dollars….
It’s a SCAM, and that’s why it’s all via email/text.
If they won’t talk on the phone, then they are scammers…… tell your mate to be careful.

It probably is then Bubb, thanks I'll tell him. Another thing is Harley dealers have some kind of history report they offer on used bikes they offer for sale and they tell potential customers "don't buy from an individual unless they have a report" (which they won't).
