finally decided to take the plunge and ordered a 1200gsa today from vines at guildford. i rang them about a week ago, very helpfull and not pushy at all. then over the past few days i have been ringing them, very informative and not ringing me hastling me for the deal. so today i placed the order, premium pack, dynamic pack, top box & panniers, oh and a rallye 2 pro suit (well you've got to haven't you). pick it up on saturday, its going to be a long old 200 miles in the car going to collect it !!! :bounce1

Congratulations on your purchase :thumb
If you're not aware Oly's referring to your twat suit purchase :D

Congrats you'll love it......Christmas has come early! :beerjug:

I have bought the same bike as you last week, same spec everything.
Great Bike!!!!! :thumb You will get sick of other bikers drooling all over it.
You have the Range Rover of bikes and all the others are just jealous!!:augie

Just needs to warm up, to really enjoy it.

I did not buy the Pro Suit, but I would rather wear that, than look like a Power Ranger in a Leather Race suit.

I take it you are a Rossi fan also, quite scary that we have the same taste in bikes and racers!!

no thanks vines

arrived at vines to collect the bike and gear as arranged. sat for ages being told i should take finance as "its a lot of money" and then the speach about gap insurance. finally got them to take payment on my debit card and went to clothing to get my gear. at this point i'd been in the for over 2 hours faffing about. then i was told that the gear i had ordered (and been told was in stock) was not actually in stock. i refused to ride 230 miles home in my jeans, they didn't come up with any sensable alternative so i requested my money back. 91/2 hours after leaving home i arrived back at home, without a bike, dissapointed and with 460 miles on my car. not even an offer of fuel money for my trouble. i know alot of people on here are but vines certainly are tossers !!!!!!

Sorry to hear that!

didnt they offer to deliver the bike foc. by monday?

NOG in oxford... very good! 01865 319000..:thumb

Bummer!

Rossi, that's a pretty poor showing by the salesman at Vines. Usually they are a great lot to deal with. I've bought two bikes from them and have been very happy. Seems like someone dropped the ball big time: why not simply give you a different (perhaps more expensive) suit in your size or offer to deliver the bike and suit later with a discount to make up for the snafu?

To lose a bike sale in the current economic environment because no correctly sized suit ordered with it is available appears almost negligent. I'd suggest that you get in touch with Duncan Bell, the m/c sales manager, to sort out this mess. Some compensation for your inconvenience might be in order?

Good luck,
Achim

could not agree more!

no, would deliver at a cost. totally unacceptable in my eyes.

send them an invoice for you time and expense..
dont give up on the bike, there very good...

forget the twat suit, there for the people new to GS`s..:augie
they usually sell them later on..;)

think about a second hand one.. GADGET sold his recently, top spec for around £10,000.
