JohhnyBoxer If Vines hadnt done the yes we'll fit it/no we wont bit I wouldnt have been there in the first place, thus no bits would have been left and no bits thrown away, my brother would have picked up my standard replaced screen probably the next day or so on his way past Vines as he works somewhere within the very near vicinity.
Oh and spoon feeding??? whats that all about?? I'm well capable of making decisions as to what I do and how and when and if (not that it's anyone elses business at the end of the day)however on that particualr day I'd spent ages fitting a screen, and didnt DELIBERATELY leave stuff outside, just tired and made a mistake.I'd like to know if you have ever made a mistake, I dont think you could truthfully say that you never have!!!.

Dealers are busy too, is it their fault that they can't fit in with your shift pattern.................not really is something else that was said. I work for a living (for an MOD Police agency as it happens so i'm pretty duty bound to tell the truth!!!!) If it wasnt for my incovenient shift patterns then I wouldnt be in a position to buy the sodding bike in the first place. When someone tells me they are going to do something I EXPECT IT TO BE DONE not change their mind as and when convenience suits them...

Gotta Say.....

that this thread seem to about a load of rubbish! Why do people feel the need to post their differences in a public forum? Sounds to me if someone just wants someone to agree with them and make them feel better.

I dont suppose there is a dealer out there that has a 100% perfect record on anything, anymore than individuals do.

I for one have been a customer of Vines for well lover 10 years, at least 5 bikes and NEVER had an issue with them.

I suggest people just pick up their toys , put 'em back in the pram and get on with something more constructive like riding the bike......afterall it what we are all her for. Isnt it???

Richie. Yes you're right. However......... The last time i looked we were in a democracy which enables people to freely communicate their thoughts ideas and opinions. My postings started off as just information, but to be honest didnt end up that way. All is now sorted, bits to be picked up tomorrow, standard screen to be put back on the bike, Touring screen will be going probably in the back of the shed, where I will probably forget about it until i come across it in about 5 years time (just like the KLX250 thats in there at the moment, lol). I still think I've got a bloody good bike, and still enjoying it even in the piddling rain, so I'm now gonna go and get it even dirtier than it already is, and try to not fall off. err THATS IT I THINK....

RichieS nicely said, what a load of rubbish this thread is,just sort the screen out and ride the fliping bike and stop your moaning about Vines,I been going there for years and never once had a ounce of trouble, great bunch of people

Whatever.................

Your rant seemed a bit pissy anyway

Just ride your bike, buy the small items that have been lost and fit another/original screen

How about trying a Givi..............I've heard they're good

Yep..............I've made loads of mistakes, but I always live with it and don't blame everyone but myself...............cos it's usually me that arsed it up in the first place

hi, remember me, i started this thread before all the arguing over screens and missing bits. it seems that i might have come to an amicable agreement with vines, i will let you know when it is fully resolved. opened a right can of worms with this one didn't i, didn't mean to, honest :):):):):):):)

Rossi,If you dont sort a deal out with Vines I would recommend a call to Alistar one of the Directors at Bahnstormer nr Alton.I have found them superb and have always tried to go the extra mile in terms of service.I guess everyone has a story about service from a dealer in the end its all about how it was resolved.

FREE DELIVERY

Hi
Bought mine from Wollaston BMW in Northampton. Got a fantastic deal on my Boxercup against a fully loaded new GSA and free delivery into the bargain (140 mile journey) and a full tank of petrol:). They never even asked to see the Boxercup, just gave me top book price on it (much better than anywhere here in Yorkshire). The sales guy was called Steve Nash and I'd recommend him to anyone - genuine top bloke. I love my new bike to bits.

It sounds to me that you did the correct thing.
If the deal was not to your liking, you took your money elsewhere, the dealer lost out.
The dealer that you did the deal with has now got you as a customer and will hopefully continue to nurture the dealer, client relationship.:clap

Darren of Vines put their side of the story, wether correct or not, if you hadn't left the parts lying around, the oportunity to have them removed would not have arisen.:tears
