Since buying my adventure i ( as many other people have discovered ) have found the re design of the adventure screen has no improvement over earier screens.
reading through the archives most of you seem to favour the screen made by MRA .
Iv'e taken the plunge and invested in the above it fits nice, looks great, now for the real test it's saturday afternoon the sun is out her goes WATCH THIS SPACE !!!!!!!!!!!!:bomb

Did you have to replace the side mounts with the std GS ones, or have MRA produced an 'Adventure version'?

I bought all the standard mounts (£27) in the hope of making the ADV screen adjustable, so far not possible.
I know what will happen next they will launch adjustable fittings for the standard ADV screen, if fact what the delay !!

I did make the Adventure screen adjustable, simply by filing out the holes in the screen. I made them as big as I could, so that they just stay under the black cover. I can now adjust it over about 10cm (measured at the top). Never measured it actually, I'm guessing ;-)

In summer, with the screen as far down as possible, I get less turbulence. It's still there, but less annoying than first.

Now I have it in the highest position, for less wind and cold.

I'm more or less satisfied now. Guess there is no miracle solution, except for maybe an Aeroflow screen or an RT.

Greetings,
Michel

update on mra screen

following my earier post re my MRA screen
in answer to mikes question yes i had to purchase the standard GS hardware to mount the new MRA screen just a pity that MRA couln't re design the lower half of the screen i'm sure there are a few punters out there that would like to get there hands on one given time i'm sure this will be the case.
This is my own true impression of the MRA screen others will have there own views.
with the screen in its lowest angled position and at full height there was no obvious gain over the standard screen.
With the screen in its fully angled position and at full height my initial experience was that of being pulled forward towards the screen at high speeds ( 70 miles an hour osifer**) buffeting was fairly high.Lowering the height of the screen in this position only made things worse.
at this stage i'm starting to panic iv'e just shelled out £116.00 + and there aint no damn difference.
with the screen adjusted to a central position and extended to full height ,WOW bliss no blindness no buffeting and i can hear the engine bumbling away. It's really added a new dimension to the bike and even on a cold january afternoon in an open face helmet its been a pleasure to ride out for a couple of hours.I do hope this helps some of you out in choosing a screen in the future but i must urge this was my own personal choice.Early days but my first impression of the Mra screen are looking good.
ps is there a spell check on this site my spelling is getting worse????!!!!
